This law applies to children’s products sold in Washington state. Washington’s laws apply to a broader range of consumer products than those covered by federal limits.

CSPA does the following:

Limits the presence of lead, cadmium, phthalates (6 types), and flame retardants (5 organohalogen types).
Requires manufacturers to report if their children’s products contain chemicals of high concern to children (CHCC list).
