The DIVERT Graduate Research Fellowship at Virginia Tech is a competitive PhD program in Biomanufacturing for Food Waste Reduction, supported by the USDA. It prepares future leaders in sustainability through research and outreach via Virginia Cooperative Extension. The fellowship offers full tuition and an annual stipend and is open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and a strong interest in food waste reduction. Applicants from diverse STEM backgrounds are encouraged.
