On Tuesday June 10, 2025, the Green Chemistry Serbia team and Serbian Chamber of Commerce hosted a gathering of representatives from industry, academia, and the broader community to initiate a dialogue on the role and potential of green chemistry in advancing a more sustainable domestic economy. The event featured the presentation of the global platform Green Chemistry for Sustainability, highlighting its unique value as a dedicated hub for green chemistry resources. Also presented were the Responsible Business Hub initiative of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which focuses on promoting sustainable supply chains in industry, and a new ICT Hub report on the potential of green technologies in Serbia.
The event also marked the official launch of the GreenUp Accelerator — a new support mechanism aimed at fostering the development of innovative green solutions. The call opened the previous week. This 12-week program is tailored to startups and teams working in areas such as green chemistry, green technologies, green materials, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, energy efficiency, ESG and digital sustainability, sustainable transport, green construction, and decarbonization. Participants will benefit from expert mentorship, thematic workshops, access to a network of professionals and potential investors, and the opportunity to showcase their work at the final Demo Day.
