More than 40 participants from across Ukraine — Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Sumy, and Khmelnytskyi — took part in the Green Chemistry Hackathon, spending several intensive days developing ideas for a more sustainable and environmentally responsible industrial future.
Eleven teams of young scientists, researchers, and students worked on real-life challenges provided by industry partners, aiming to reduce the environmental footprint of industrial production while increasing efficiency and competitiveness.
During the hackathon, participants deepened their knowledge of green chemistry principles, explored innovative problem-solving approaches, and collaborated closely with mentors and business representatives. The event was marked by a dynamic, creative atmosphere filled with discussion, experimentation, and inspiration.
The jury selected several outstanding and breakthrough solutions, highlighting the strong potential of young scientific teams to drive innovation and advance sustainable chemistry in Ukraine.
