As a Senior Toxicologist you will have the opportunity to:
- Plan, organize, direct, and provide supervisory reviews of work performed in a unit of Staff Toxicologists, Associate Toxicologists, and Senior Environmental Scientists (Specialists)
- Support, and may manage and direct, interdisciplinary project teams of Toxicologists, Environmental Scientists, and Engineers from across SCP implementing the program’s regulatory framework
- Counsel staff and initiate disciplinary actions as necessary
- Conduct technical reviews of assessments of chemical hazards and consumer product- related exposure scenarios prepared by toxicologists and non-toxicologist staff from across the program, applying and integrating scientific, toxicological and exposure assessment principles
- Provide guidance to staff in the preparation of more complex assessments and studies to characterize adverse human and environmental health impacts of exposure to chemicals in consumer products in support of regulatory decision making
Desirable Qualifications We Look For:
- Experience with, or knowledge of, New Approach Methodologies
- Experience working in, supporting, or leading interdisciplinary teams
- Experience communicating complex scientific information to non-technical audiences
- Experience with, or knowledge of, project management principles
- Experience working and/or managing in a matrix organization
