VALORIZEN is a research and innovation center that develops, scales up and commercializes technologies to valorize sustainable materials. VALORIZEN is the research arm and a wholly owned subsidiary of United Kingdom-based Scaleup Innovations Holdings Limited. Our center is currently working on piloting and commercializing the world’s first textile fibers and reinforcements extracted from the byproducts of pruning of date palms, known as PalmFil. We have several regional partners who are committed to licensing our new technology and bringing it to the market as soon as possible.
We are now looking for new skillful colleagues.
What you will do:
- Lead R&D projects from lab to pilot plant.
- Manage research team and project timelines.
- Develop new bio-based products and processes.
- Coordinate pilot-scale validation and technology scale-up.
- Collaborate with universities, research institutes and industrial partners.
- Support patent development and scientific publications.
- Contribute technical input to funding proposals and innovation projects.

We hope you bring:
- 5–10 years of relevant experience
- R&D management and innovation project execution
- Technology commercialization and market deployment
- Research-industry collaborations and partnership management
- Business development, strategic planning, and growth initiatives
- Identifying and developing new commercial opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams
- Experience building go-to-market strategies for new technologies, products, or ventures
- Managing cross-functional projects from research through pilot, scale-up, and commercialization
- Stakeholder engagement across academia, industry, government, and funding organizations
- Experience securing and managing grants (EU, Horizon Europe, UNDP, GIZ, etc.)
- Startup, venture-building, or innovation ecosystem experience
- Background in circular economy, biomaterials, sustainable materials, or industrial biotechnology
- Experience supporting fundraising, investor relations, or strategic partnership

Education
• MSc or PhD preferred
• Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Biotechnology, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
