Cleantech Days is the annual ‘Global Forum’ event of the Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP) – one of the UNIDO flagship programmes supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The Cleantech Days convenes national winners and top performers of national GCIP accelerators, GCIP national project teams and executing institutions, global executing entities, stakeholders of other UNIDO-led innovation support initiatives, international partners, financiers and like-minded professionals to promote cleantech entrepreneurship and innovation, showcase innovative solutions across sectors, enable knowledge exchange and establish new partnerships for an inclusive and just industrial transition.
Cleantech Days 2026 will take place from 7 to 10 April 2026 alongside the International Vienna Energy and Climate Forum 2026 (IVECF 2026) in Vienna, Austria. Referencing the IVECF theme Powering Prosperity, Security and Stability, Cleantech Days 2026 will focus on the role of cleantech innovation and entrepreneurship in the context of transforming energy, industry and climate systems to strengthen resilience, support economic diversification and unlock shared prosperity in a just, inclusive and fair manner. It places particular focus on those most in need and underrepresented groups such as women, youth and migrants, not only as beneficiaries, but as critical drivers of innovation and entrepreneurship.
