This event is being held in preparation for the inaugural Plenary session (P1) of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Panel on Chemicals, Waste and Pollution (ISP-CWP) to be held from 2 to 6 February 2026 in Geneva, preceded by regional and stakeholder meetings on 1 February 2026.
The event will focus on the engagement of scientists and experts at the science-policy interface and what can help facilitate the strengthening of the interface for chemicals, waste and pollution prevention. A first roundtable will explore relevant examples of expert networks, including those engaged on questions of chemicals, waste and pollution. A second roundtable will turn to strategies employed to enhance the reach of expert engagement. The audience will then have the opportunity to put questions to the panellists.
