E-fuels and green chemicals from non-recyclable waste

Valoron is transforming non-recyclable waste into clean chemicals and fuels for hard-to-abate sectors such as e-fuels for transportation & shipping, and base chemicals for industrial manufacturing.

Building on off-the-shelf technologies and innovative process solutions, Valoron is turning mixed waste into valuable hydrocarbons for application in renewable fuels and sustainable chemicals, thus closing the loop on materials, and ushering in a circular and low-carbon economy.

Valoron’s technology uses a multi-step thermal process to break down mixed waste into clean synthesis gas, which is then refined into fuels like methanol. The process includes a thermal decomposition step followed by their novel e-conversion technology. They leverage electrification via plasma-assisted syngas generation and careful integration of existing technologies to enabling stable operation – even with unsorted waste.

By targeting sectors like shipping, aviation, and chemicals where electrification is difficult, Valoron offers a scalable solution to reduce emissions and create economic value from waste, especially in regions most affected by pollution.

Key advantages of Valoron's technology:

  • Scalable by design
  • 70% product yield & 80% energy efficiency compared to commercial alternatives
  • Cost-competitive technology
