This is a free, asynchronous, on-demand course.
The laboratory environment has many risks associated with chemical hazards. Teachers, researchers, staff, and students benefit when an effective chemical management system goes beyond simply complying with local, state, and federal standards. The laboratory community is seeking new tools and best practices for creating a safe learning environment and workplace. The goal of this on-demand course is to increase laboratory safety and the use of safer alternatives in teaching and research laboratories.

Washington teachers can earn 9 clock hours from the Washington Science Teachers Association for completing the course.
