Chulalongkorn University

Chulalongkorn University is Thailand’s first institution of higher learning, dedicating itself as a center for academic learning and professional excellence. The university’s mission and commitment to public service uphold the visions of the university’s founder, King Rama VI, who established Chulalongkorn University as a tribute to his father, King Rama V.

Whether through the pursuit and development of knowledge, or the application and dissemination of learned concepts, Chulalongkorn University works to empower students with professional know-how and research skills, as well as preserve the arts, culture, and values. Added to the academic learning is the university’s commitment to instill in Chula graduates a sense of morality, social responsibility, and service to society.

As Thailand’s leading university, Chulalongkorn University aims to be a model institute of education, setting the standard as a university of innovations for society. The university focuses itself on three social development core principles: preparing future leaders, developing impactful research and innovations, and advocating social sustainability.
