CHAS Peer Led Workshop: Empowering Academic Researchers to Strengthen Safety Culture

This 3.5-hour workshop, led by graduate student researchers Srijana Pandey and Marilyn Naeem,  is designed for frontline researchers in academic institutions, including graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and undergraduate students. Participants will discuss the challenges associated with students making the transition to being independent researchers in academia, risk assessment of research projects, safety hierarchies of academic institutions, and graduate student led Laboratory Safety Teams (LSTs). Faculty and safety staff are also encouraged to attend in order to expand their understanding of these challenges and seek ways to become better Champions for these researchers. Interested parties can register for this interactive workshop on EventBrite.
