This biodegradable microbial pesticide is designed for use in corn, cotton, soy, and wheat crops, offering a safer alternative for humans and the environment than conventional pesticides.
ProFarm Group has engineered the fermentation of the microbial pesticide to increase the production of a key metabolite that substantially reduces application rates and release in the environment. In this innovative approach, the microbe is grown in large vessels, then killed and incorporated into a seed treatment package that coats the seeds before planting. ProFarm Group claims that RinoTec™ is “readily biodegradable” and can potentially replace various commonly used synthetic pesticide products.
