Water-based systems wood adhesives formulated with natural soy flour and a proprietary crosslinking resin. Soyad adhesive technology is a patented, bio-based, formaldehyde-free adhesive system developed by the modification of amino acids of soy proteins, resulting in environmentally friendly hardwood plywood and engineering wood flooring. The soy flour and resin blend forms a durable, water-resistant thermoset adhesive similar to the strength and performance of urea-formaldehyde-based adhesives. Performance advantages include adhesives with 70-90% bio-based content and eliminating health hazards related to formaldehyde for workers and consumers in indoor and outdoor air environments.
