This report resulted from the event, "Scaling Sustainable Chemistry for an Industrial Transformation Forum and Roundtable," held in August 2024.

Three specific areas were addressed in the event and are summarized in the report: 

1. Scaling Technologies: The development of new chemicals and processes is a fundamental task that has critical challenges for scaling. 

Ellen MacArthur Foundation Global Commitment 2024 Progress Report

Over 1,000 organisations from across the world, including businesses representing 20% of all plastic packaging produced globally and over 50 government signatories, have mobilised behind the Global Commitment’s common vision of a circular economy for plastic, in which it never becomes waste. Signatories set ambitious 2025 targets to help realise that common vision. This sixth annual progress report looks at how the signatories are faring against these targets and key lessons learned along the way.

Identifying Opportunities for Green Chemistry Research to Advance Sustainable Development

To establish an overview of the current funding landscape for green and sustainable chemistry, the ACS Green Chemistry Institute (ACS GCI), with funding from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, undertook a year-long project to elucidate opportunities for public and private funders to contribute to achieving the UN SDGs and climate-mitigation goals.

The project consisted of three objectives:
