Glycolipids by GlycoSurf™

Green glycolipid surfactants made from renewable resources designed to replace petroleum-based surfactants. Using sugars as the hydrophilic head and natural oleochemicals as the hydrophobic tail, these green surfactants are fully biodegradable and non-toxic. Their high purity also performs better than conventional surfactants and other green surfactants competitors. As of 2023, GlycoSurf has created over 43,000 molecules for over 30 companies.

Fast, Resource-Efficient Enhanced Dye Process

Bio-FREED™ is a one-step, foam-based dyeing process powered by Modern Meadow's application platform Bio-Alloy™. The technology combines proteins with bio-based polymers to create a molecularly mixed, miscible blend with unique functionalities and performances, significantly reducing carbon emission footprint by eliminating inefficiencies in the dyeing process in the textile industry. Compared to traditional three-step methods, this technology reduces up to 95% of water use and 80% of dyes applied, decreases energy use by 67%, and can be applied to any stage of textile production.

Soyad™ Adhesive Technology

Water-based systems wood adhesives formulated with natural soy flour and a proprietary crosslinking resin. Soyad adhesive technology is a patented, bio-based, formaldehyde-free adhesive system developed by the modification of amino acids of soy proteins, resulting in environmentally friendly hardwood plywood and engineering wood flooring. The soy flour and resin blend forms a durable, water-resistant thermoset adhesive similar to the strength and performance of urea-formaldehyde-based adhesives.

Fluorine-Free Hydrophobic Liquid Repellent

Developed by DetraPel, Inc., a clean-tech advanced materials company specializing in synthesizing and manufacturing PFAs-free protecting coatings. Detrapel’s technology platform introduces a new way of blending and dispersing immiscible particles into water-based systems. These unique products and processes help remove cancerous PFA chemicals with non-toxic, sustainable, PFAs-free alternatives that outperform traditional legacy fluorinated chemistries.

Bioforge™

AI-engineeered enzymes for the production of chemicals without fermentation. This company uses AI to engineer enzymes and metal catalysts that do not require fermentation, allowing for the production of molecules at room temperature without toxins and waste. This process uses safe feedstocks, such as sugars, air, and carbon dioxide. It is also scalable and cost efficient. This process also eliminates fermentation, costly immobilization, air emissions, and wastewater emissions. Their factory, Bioforge™, produces one ton of product per ton of feedstock.

Traceless®: Bio-Based Plastics Made from Agricultural Residues

Traceless® materials are fully plant-based, biodegradable alternatives to conventional plastics, derived from agricultural residues. These innovative materials are produced as pellets, which can be processed into a wide range of products such as paper coatings, rigid and flexible materials, or adhesives. Designed for applications in single-use items, packaging, and adhesives, traceless® enables manufacturers to avoid traditional plastics, offering a truly regenerative and nature-based option.

The Honest Company: Environmentally-Friendly Household and Personal Products

The Honest Company specializes in personal care and household products made with non-toxic formulations and a transparent list of ingredients. The company offers baby products, skincare, haircare, beauty products, cleaning supplies, and detergents. Several products have USDA organic and Leaping Bunny (cruelty-free) certifications.

Renewable Fuels Made From Agricultural and Industrial Waste

Aemetis specializes in the production of biofuels, renewable chemicals, and carbon capture technologies for renewable fuels. The company operates ethanol production facilities and is expanding with new projects focused on renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel. Aemetis utilizes advanced technologies to convert agricultural and industrial feedstocks (such as orchard wood waste) into ethanol, other biofuels, and renewable chemicals like isobutanol.

Protein Surfactant Complex PSC™

Protein Surfactant Complex™ (PSC™) that improves surfactant power. PSC™ is the formation of complexes between certain proteins and metabolites derived from food-grade yeast with a broad range of surfactants. PSC™ enhances surfactant performance and efficiency. They work with a variety of surfacts. PSC™ also reduces the cost of production of cleaning products, agricultural chemicals, and other industrial products. PSC™ does not contain hazardous chemicals, volatile organic compounds, or ozone-depleting substances.

Antiobiofilm/Antifouling Platform

Non-toxic, eco-friendly, and sustainable chemicals that prevent and remove biofilms. These chemicals can replace toxic biocides in consumer and agro-industrial products. A subset of the company's chemicals kill antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) Superbugs. Biofilm forms when bacteria adheres and multiplicates on a surface. Biofilms increase the chance of bacterial infections in animal and plant tissues. Biofilms cause the adhesion of "foulers" in industrial surfaces in contact with water or salt water.
