OC-BioBinder™

Biobased (biopolymers & plant-based substances) binder for nonwoven and technical textiles. Binders made with biopolymers from residual streams in the food industry (such as orange peels, shrimp shells, wheat bran) instead of mainly fossil plastic polymers (EVA, acrylates) that are traditionally used in binders. 100% biodegradable, compostable, and non-toxic.

GLDA — A Biodegradable Chelating Agent

Biodegradable chelating agents. Chelating agents (NTA and EDTA) are used in industrial, domestic, and agricultural industries for complex metals. Traditional chelating agents are not biodegradable and accumulate in aquatic systems, harming human health and the environment. Aquapharm has made biodegradable chelates with applications in industrial cleaning, food processing, personal care, kitchen cleaning, textiles, water treatment, automatic dishwashing, and pulp and paper. One of Aquapharm's chelants, GLDA, is a viable substitute for NTA and EDTA.

PhytoSpherix™

Phytoglycogen sustainably extracted from kernels of sweet corn for cosmetic applications. This phytoglycogen is a highly branched polysaccharide with a unique spherical dendrimer structure that has similar effects to animal-derived glycogen. Phytoglycogen is non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and biodegradable. The product promotes collagen and hyaluronic acid production in skin cells by increasing cellular metabolism, reducing wrinkles and fine lines, and improving skin hydration.
