Hello Green Chemistry for Sustainability,
We are excited to announce the launch of the newest Green Chemistry student Club at the University of Connecticut. This club is known as Green Chemistry Initiative (GCI), UConn. And it was registered as a student organization at uconn in September.
It is the mission of GCI, UConn to raise awareness about green chemistry in order to facilitate sustainable practices within the chemistry and chemical engineering community at UConn. Through seminars, workshops, and networking, the Green Chemistry Initiative strives to educate scientists and engineers about important green chemistry concepts that are relevant to chemical research and the community at large. To kickstart, we have a meet and greet event on the 7th of November, by 2:30 PM where we hope to introduce this initiative to the wider uconn community and recruit new members and volunteers. See the flyer for details. Feel free to reach out if you want to support or collaborate in this or any other initiative.
