Position Summary:
The position reports to the Senior Portfolio Manager of Scientific Alliance and Business Engagement of the ACS Green Chemistry Institute. The Program Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day engagement with the ACS GCI Industry Roundtables, focused on catalyzing implementation of green and sustainable chemistry and engineering initiatives in industry related to advancing science, creating tools, educating future scientists, and influencing leaders globally. The Program Specialist will support the ACS GCI roundtable programs through meaningful and solutions-oriented interactions with internal and external stakeholders. Solutions may include collaborations with other GCI teams and Scientific Advancement Division members, other ACS-related groups and other external stakeholders. The new team member will also support administrative, financial, and technical areas of convening industry roundtable members as well as interactions with focus teams.
Position Responsibilities:
The new team member will support ACS GCI Industry Roundtables day-to-day initiatives, coordinate interactions and meeting agendas and schedules. They will also organize and coordinate meetings that meaningfully fosters collaboration and engagement, as well as provide scientific input into roundtable focus teams’ technical projects.
