It is a pleasure for the ACS Office of Sustainable Development and the George Washington University Chemistry Department to invite you to our third annual symposium, “Green Chemistry and Community Action at the Intersection of Government, Industry and Academia.” This event will bring together the key sectors critical to actualizing green chemistry, including members of federal agencies, industry group stakeholders in green chemistry and community action, and NGO representatives. This event is a part of the ACS Campaign for a Sustainable Future and will be in-person at the ACS Headquarters, Room Othmer A/B, and also streamed via zoom. Please RSVP here by Wednesday, April 30th. Light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Speakers will include representatives from industry, D.C. based NGOs and capstone students from the Environmental & Green Chemistry Master’s program at George Washington University. In addition to some opening remarks from colleagues across the sectors, we will hear about the efforts of such partnerships on this year’s topic, Assessing and Advancing the U.S. EPA’s Safer Choice Program.
