The Interstate Chemicals Clearinghouse invites submissions for our Ken Zarker Award for Students and Early Career Professionals.
This award celebrates Ken Zarker; those that worked with him miss his kind smile, deep knowledge of the issues, dedication and hard work, and leadership.
The scholarship awards are either $500 or $1000 to help support conference expenses. Eligible expenses include transportation, lodging, conference registration, and/or food. Any student or young professional planning to attend a green chemistry or alternatives assessment conference is eligible to apply. Applicants must be based in the United States.
Conferences can be regional or national, but must have a minimum of one session on green chemistry, alternatives assessment (AA), toxics use reduction, pollution prevention (P2), or safer alternatives.
Each year we aim to provide 1-3 awards. The award is for a conference or event that is held January 1-December 31 of the year being awarded. The next deadline for applications is December 20, 2024 for conferences in 2025. Awards will be announced a few weeks after the application deadline.
