Soleic was developed by Algenesis, a materials science company founded in 2016 with a vision to help the planet recover from the pollution caused by petroleum-based products. With decades of scientific expertise, co-founders Dr. Stephen Mayfield, Dr. Robert Pomeroy, and Dr. Michael Burkhart set out to tackle this problem in the lab. Their dedicated research resulted in fully biodegradable polymer technology that has the potential to transform entire industries. The idea from the lab grew into an innovative business, and with the backing of investors, we have built out the team and developed our own proof-of-concept Blueview Shoe in 2022. Our impact is growing as we join forces with remarkable partners across the globe, leading the movement towards a microplastic-free world.
