The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), with contributions from various federal agencies, have just released "The National Blueprint for a Clean & Competitive Industrial Sector." This plan builds on existing industrial investments across federal agencies and outlines five strategies to support the growth of American manufacturing. The goal is to create a framework where the private sector leads, but the government plays a key role in enabling that growth. The Blueprint aligns with the Biden-Harris Administration’s vision to transform U.S. manufacturing—boosting competitiveness, reducing pollution, and creating well-paying jobs for American workers.
