By using the novel science of solvometallurgy and complementary techniques, pH7 provides scalable solutions for minimizing waste, emissions, and resource consumption in the recovery of valuable materials.

Core Technology and Applications

Supercritical CO2 Technology

Qarboon (ex-Dense Fluid Degreasing) specializes in sustainable, environmentally friendly industrial processes through its advanced supercritical CO2 technology. This technology is utilized in various applications, including the decontamination and sterilization of medical devices, bulk textile finishing, and degreasing/departiculation of mechanical parts using high-speed cleaning. Qarboon's machines are designed to be user-friendly, compact, and efficient, allowing for widespread accessibility.

Water as a Solvent in Heterogeneous Catalysis

Water presents significant advantages when used in heterogeneous catalysis. Unlike traditional organic solvents, water is non-toxic, non-flammable, and readily available. Heterogeneous catalysts, which differ in state from the reaction medium, can be performed in water to facilitate various chemical reactions. For instance, micellar catalysis has proven effective for aminations, leveraging recyclable catalysts and aqueous reaction media to achieve high reactions yields of pharmaceutical APIs and complex targets.
