13th European Carbon Dioxide Utilisation Summit

CO₂ utilisation is entering the only phase that matters: commercial scale. And that’s exactly when most projects get killed - by financing, offtake risk and regulatory fog. 23rd–24th September 2026 in Rotterdam will become the meeting point for the people who can remove those blockers. Welcome to the ACI's 13th European Carbon Dioxide Utilisation Summit: Turning CO₂ into value at commercial scale.

2026 GCI Symposium

The 11th annual GCI Symposium, co-organized by Green Chemistry McGill and the Green Chemistry Initiative at the University of Toronto will be held at McGill University in Montreal, QC!

This year’s symposium, Minimizing Waste from Lab to Landfill, aims to instill an understanding in attendees that even small daily decisions they make in lab can minimize the chemical waste that our institutions output.

SFC Europe 2026

The Green Chemistry Group was founded in 2007 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of SFC and environmentally sustainable chemical research and development worldwide. We organized the first International Conference on Packed Column SFC, in 2007 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Since then, we have hosted an annual SFC conference, alternating between the U.S. and Europe, and, starting in 2015, added Asia. Each conference now attracts 150-200 scientists, from around the globe and spanning many industries, who use or are considering SFC as a green technology.

Neurodegenerative Functions of Microglia in Alzheimer's Disease

The brain's primary immune cells, microglia, are a leading causal cell type in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Yet, the mechanisms by which microglia can drive neurodegeneration remain unresolved. Ayata lab discovered that a conserved stress signaling pathway, the integrated stress response (ISR), characterizes a subset of microglia with neurodegenerative outcomes.
