Great Lakes Region of the American Chemical Society is an incorporated group of 20 ACS Local Sections the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, North Dakota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The Sections work together to sponsor technical meetings, present awards and recognitions, and organize activities of interest to benefit the members and the general public.

2024 EPA National Pollution Prevention Training and Conference

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be holding its 2024 National Pollution Prevention Training and Conference in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 10-11. The event will convene representatives from EPA grantees, academia, industry, non-governmental organizations, and state and federal agencies. Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of pollution prevention (P2) while leveraging and strengthening their connections to other practitioners.

ACS CHAS RAMP in the Research Lab

This 3.5-hour workshop is primarily directed at frontline researchers in academic institutions: graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and undergraduate students.

Learn the principles of the RAMP paradigm through a series of case studies and discussion sessions focused on practicing each of the RAMP steps.

Faculty and safety staff are also encouraged to attend to learn strategies to better prepare the student researchers on their campuses for risk management of their experimental work.

11th International Workshop on Anthocyanins and Betalains (IWA&B 2024)

The 11th International Workshop on Anthocyanins and Betalains (IWA&B 2024) will be held at the University of Leeds from Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19th September 2024. This will be the first time the conference has been held in the United Kingdom and presents a unique opportunity to meet and discuss with colleagues from all over the world, get updated on the newest developments and insights in the colourful world of anthocyanins and betalains.

2023 US Innovators Roundtable

The 2023 US Innovators Roundtable will be an opportunity for Change Chemistry members and non-members to engage with leading innovators, investors, and government officials in the green and sustainable chemistry space.

Structured as a series of dialogues exploring topics, the gathering will provide attendees with opportunities to meet and engage with key players from across the globe. This will be a hybrid event so both virtual and in-person registration tickets are available.
