Introductory Conference on Green Chemistry, Arequipa City. Peru.

Dear GCS colleagues,

I would like to share with you the 1st Green Chemistry Conference that will be held in Arequipa City on 29th August 2024.

This is a hybrid Conference executed in the context of The Global GreenChem, Innovation and Network Programme (GGINP) which is leaded by the Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering at Yale University and UNIDO with GEF funds. In Peru, The GGINP is implemented by the National Cleaner Production Center of Peru,  named CER and operated by Grupo GEA in coordination with the Ministry of Environment (focal point of GEF).

2025 ACS GCI Green & Sustainable Chemistry Summer School

The ACS Green and Sustainable Chemistry Summer School (GSCSS) is a highly selective week-long program for graduate students and postdoctoral chemists and engineers. Each year, approximately 60 exceptional students from North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean are selected from a large pool of applicants and gather for this fully funded once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The American Chemical Society pays for all eligible travel and program costs.

Many products have third-party certifications from the USDA BioPreferred Program, Leaping Bunny (for cruelty-free products), and EPA’s Safer Choice Program.

CleanScreen

Tool Owner

ChemFORWARD is a leader in creating broad access to chemical hazard assessments and safer alternatives. Formulation Ingredient Intelligence Reports (FIIRs) are specifically designed for formulators of cleaners and degreasers to quickly screen, optimize, and pre-qualify their products for certification.

ChemFORWARD leverages a shared, globally harmonized repository of chemical hazard assessments (CHAs), to quickly and cost-effectively provide an assessment of a formulation and suggest safer alternatives where needed.

ChemFORWARD Chemical Hazard Data Trust

Tool Owner

Managed by ChemFORWARD, the data trust is designed to simplify access to chemical hazard data from dozens of credible sources, curate, maintain and continuously improve the data, and harmonize the information for actionable decision support that will accelerate the global transition to safer chemistry.

The data trust is populated and continually updated by licensed toxicologists using a comprehensive, globally accepted methodology. Each CHA is peer reviewed by independent toxicologists before being posted.
