IUPAC World Chemistry Conference 2025

IUPAC 2025 comprises two major IUPAC meetings, namely the 53rd IUPAC General Assembly (53GA) and the 50th World Chemistry Congress (50WCC) that together with other side events will attract more than 3,000 delegates from all over the globe. This marks the first time that these global chemistry extravaganzas are taking place in an ASEAN country, and this has created immense enthusiasm and excitement among chemists from this part of the world.

Sustainability Leader Summit

On Friday, September 27, as part of Climate Week NYC, the ACS Green Chemistry Institute® and Change Chemistry will host the inaugural Sustainability Leader Summit. Amidst the broad and multi-disciplinary climate discussions scheduled to take place, it is crucial to acknowledge the significant role chemistry plays in accelerating climate action, particularly through scalable, innovative green, and sustainable chemistry technologies.

CGTFD-2024 - International Conference on Chemistry: Global Trends & Future Directions

Welcome to the 2024 International Conference on Chemistry: Global Trends & Future Directions! We are delighted to bring together a diverse and distinguished group of chemists, researchers, and industry experts from around the world for an immersive three-day virtual event. This conference serves as a dynamic platform to discuss and explore the latest advancements, groundbreaking research, and innovative applications in the field of chemistry.

Rising Stars in Green Chemistry Education Award

To recognize outstanding early-career scholars who have committed to a significant focus on green chemistry and/or sustainability in curricula for teaching chemistry, chemical engineering, or a closely related field.

Two awards will be given annually. Each award will consist of a certificate, a $1,000 honorarium, and travel support for the awardee and one student (up to $2,000 each) to attend the annual Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference (GC&E) to receive the award and present their work.

Open to all Nationalities

Principal Investigator Development in Sustainability Grant

This award will provide funding to early or mid-career investigators (Associate+) to spend 6-12 months in the laboratory of a private company, a national laboratory, or an academic laboratory in a different institution, with the goal of establishing robust collaborations across industry-academia or across disciplines and taking advantage of the mentorship of a faculty member distinct from their prior mentors.

Nanocellulose-Based Materials for Personal Care and Consumer Goods

The company focused on developing and commercializing versatile bio-base, micro-, and nanocellulose materials. FineCell’s patented technology offers sustainable material solutions with unique performance benefits, such as replacing fossil fuels and harmful chemicals in personal care products and consumer goods. FineCell’s cellulose materials are produced through a green and resource-efficient process. The technology is based on a chemical reaction under mild conditions, which enables substantially reduced energy and water consumption and significantly increases production yield.
