Monash University Graduate Certificate of Green Chemistry and Sustainable Technologies

The Graduate Certificate of Green Chemistry and Sustainable Technologies provides expert training in ‘green technologies’ focused on chemistry and chemical manufacturing, combined with an understanding of sustainability issues to support the transformation of industry.

The principles of green technologies are aligned to sustainability issues to advance the reduction or elimination of hazardous substances involved in the design, manufacture and application of diverse chemical products.

The environmental, economic and social benefits are also examined.

Sustainable Chemistry and Human Rights

What will you learn? This policy training is meant to support the development of policy input and training of participation on human rights issues, related to Sustainable Chemistry and sustainable development. The training will elaborate on specific human rights (such as the human right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment) that are related to the key characteristics of Sustainable Chemistry, as developed by the ISC3. Who is this course for?

Empowering Academic Researchers to Strengthen Safety Culture Workshop

About:

The ACS Division of Chemical Health and Safety (CHAS) is offering this 3.5-hour workshop primarily directed at frontline researchers in academic institutions: graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and undergraduate students.

This workshop discusses the challenges of students making the transition to being independent researchers in academia. Topics discussed include: risk assessment of research projects, understanding the often confusing safety hierarchies of academic institutions, and graduate student-led Laboratory Safety Teams.

Workshop goals are to:

University of Colorado Green Chemistry Certificate Fellowship

University of Colorado, Boulder students can apply for a fellowship for an online green chemistry certificate program offered by the University of Washington (UW). This program is a partnership of CU Green Labs, CHEMunity, and (B)Chem Club and has been made possible over the years by funding from the CU Boulder Chemistry Department, Environmental Health and Safety, Chemical and Biological Engineering, RASEI, the Graduate School, and Sustainable CU.
