IUPAC XVI Postgraduate Summer School on Green Chemistry

The Summer School offers the unique opportunity to bring together a number of experts in the field of Green Chemistry and young researchers. This synergy of competencies is a valuable occasion to promote and facilitate diffusion and transfer of knowledge in this emerging and evolving field.

In this Summer School, postgraduate students will have the opportunity to present their research during either Virtual and on-person Poster Session. The best three posters will be selected and awarded by our sponsors during an award ceremony.

Certificate Sustainable Chemistry & Benign by Design

The certificate Sustainable Chemistry & Benign by Design offered by Leuphana Professional School at Leuphana University, Lüneburg, Germany provides in four modules interdisciplinary knowledge about the design and redesign of chemicals at university Master's level. Based on findings from environmental chemistry and toxicology, you will explore the molecular (re)design of chemicals with reduced ecological and toxicological impacts, the potential and applicability of Benign by Design. In addition, experimental and in-silico methods for the molecular (re)design of chemicals are addressed.

Monash University Graduate Certificate of Green Chemistry and Sustainable Technologies

The Graduate Certificate of Green Chemistry and Sustainable Technologies provides expert training in ‘green technologies’ focused on chemistry and chemical manufacturing, combined with an understanding of sustainability issues to support the transformation of industry.

The principles of green technologies are aligned to sustainability issues to advance the reduction or elimination of hazardous substances involved in the design, manufacture and application of diverse chemical products.

The environmental, economic and social benefits are also examined.

Certificate Sustainable Chemistry & Regulatory Affairs

Language: English Start: March 2024 Cost: 4.400 EUR plus the current term contribution of 210 EUR What will you learn? The certificate Sustainable Chemistry & Regulatory Affairs offered by Leuphana Professional School at Leuphana University, Lüneburg, Germany provides in four modules knowledge of international chemicals management in the context of sustainable chemistry at university Master's level.

Empowering Academic Researchers to Strengthen Safety Culture Workshop

About:

The ACS Division of Chemical Health and Safety (CHAS) is offering this 3.5-hour workshop primarily directed at frontline researchers in academic institutions: graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and undergraduate students.

This workshop discusses the challenges of students making the transition to being independent researchers in academia. Topics discussed include: risk assessment of research projects, understanding the often confusing safety hierarchies of academic institutions, and graduate student-led Laboratory Safety Teams.

Workshop goals are to:

Kenneth G. Hancock Memorial Award

Purpose:

The Kenneth G. Hancock Memorial Award provides national recognition and honor for outstanding student contributions to furthering the goals of green chemistry and engineering through research and/or studies. This includes but is not limited to the research, development, and implementation of fundamental and innovative chemical technologies that incorporate the principles of green chemistry into chemical design, manufacture, and use, and that have the potential to be utilized in achieving national pollution prevention goals.
