Efficiency

Bioforge™

AI-engineeered enzymes for the production of chemicals without fermentation. This company uses AI to engineer enzymes and metal catalysts that do not require fermentation, allowing for the production of molecules at room temperature without toxins and waste. This process uses safe feedstocks, such as sugars, air, and carbon dioxide. It is also scalable and cost efficient. This process also eliminates fermentation, costly immobilization, air emissions, and wastewater emissions. Their factory, Bioforge™, produces one ton of product per ton of feedstock.

PhosRox™

Biodegradable sorbent that captures nutrients in water. Phosphorus and nitrogen are nutrients in water that act as fertilizers for aquatic plants. Eutrophication occurs when there is an overabundance of these nutrients. Nutrient pollution occurs when eutrophication produces an excessive amount of algae. These algae disrupt ecosystems by lowering the amount of dissolved oxygen in water, reducing water quality, turning the water green, causing a foul smell, blocking sunlight, and harming animals and humans who consume it.

Forward Water Technologies; Forward Osmosis System

Three-step process for reverse osmosis that achieves high-rate water extraction within a low-energy continuous process. Water and salt separation is accomplished with a draw solution called Switchable Water Salt (SWS) and heat. This system extracts the greatest amount of water from the most challenging process streams while using the least amount of energy. Reduced greenhouse gases by up to 40% compared to conventional disposal methods. The process also reclaims up to 90% of the freshwater from the waste stream.

West Fork Biotreatment Project

Large scale anaerobic biotreatment system. Asarco's biotreatment system consists of a settling basin and two anaerobic bioreactors discharged into a rock filter polishing cell that are followed by a final aeration polshing pond. Heavy metal pollution occurs when excavated rocks or exposed underground mines get into water. The West Fork Biotreatment plant does not require conventional chemicals that are often associated with sludge formation nor constant human monitoring and frequent sludge disposal.

Waterline® CI

Phosphorous-free corrosion inhibitor that protects carbon steel in cooling water by forming a persistent, passivating film on steel surfaces. Traditional phosphorous-based cooling water treatment has suboptimal performance under stressed water conditions, fouling from precipitation with calcium, the need for stabilizers, accelerated corrosion of zinc alloys, and the addition of nutrients that promote bacterial growth. Regulations on the limit of eutrophication of surface water makes cooling water with phosphorous more costly.

Eco-Friendly Leather Made With Mycelium

Fine Mycelium™ is a technology that manipulates mycelium cells during growth to create durable leather-like material that matches leather's gold standard. Reishi™ is the product of this technology. Constructs leather-like material with mycelium (a type of fungus), maintaining the quality and durability of leather without the environmental impact of the leather industry. Premium quality is being recognized and accepted by luxury brands, potentially reducing the fashion industry's environmental impact.

TractionBack® and 180 Walls(no current information on 180 walls, seems to specialize in floor covering products now)

High-friction coating that keeps carpet tile in place wtihout additional adhesives, floor sealers, or primers. Eliminates the need for adhesives and reduces labor costs. Reduces materials needed for installation by eliminating the need to primer or seal the floor. Lack of adhesives reduces isntallation time by eliminated the drying process. Eliminates unecessary waste, such as peel and stick film covers. Eliminates VOC off-gassing that is typically associated with floor sealants, improving air quality. Functional under high water vapor emissions.

Nano-Dye™ Process

Exhaust dye process that changes the negative charge of raw cotton when submerged in water to a positive charge, making attraction stronger with negative dye stuff. 20% of global industrial water pollution comes from the treatment and dyeing of textiles. The process uses up to 75% less water than the conventional reactive exhaust dye process. It saves time as the process takes 5.5 hours compared to the traditional 8 hours. Produces less salt than conventional methods (salt traps other toxic chemicals when bound into a solid). 70% lower TDS, makes ZLD plants inexpensive.

Olivenleder®

Non-toxic and biodegradable vegetable-based tanning agent for producing leather. Utilizes tanning agent extracted from olive tree leaves that exists as a by-product of the Mediterranean olive harvest. Reduced emission of CO2 as excess leaves are no longer burned. Free from metals and chemically synthetic reactive tanning agents. Requires neither agricultural land nor food. Reduction of acids, salts, syntans, and dyestuffs compared to traditional tanning methods.

ProAvita ProDet C (*Also consider other ProAvita products)

Probiotic soaping agent for textiles. Does not contain phosphates or alkalis, resulting in fabrics with better depth and color brightness. Decreased water usage due to the need for less wash cycles. Lower effluent parameters (BOD, COD, TDS) by 15 to 20%, even with less water usage. Application flexibility as it can be applied in a wide range of pH and temperatures. Fully biodegradable and isn't enzyme based. Reduces operating cost.
